Seaceron is a project developing a new technology that removes toxicity and improves the ecosystem within dead sea bottoms that are affected by eutrophication, aquaculture, and other human activities. The technique is completely sustainable as it does not require any external energy input, it uses only non-metallic and non-reactive materials that could harm the ecosystems, and it does not cause any negative effects on the biological parameters in the water (e.g. pH, alkalinity); all of this enables the return of equilibrium into the dead zones.
The overall purpose of Seaceron is to offer innovative solutions to actors within the field of aquaculture and water quality monitoring, providing a tool that helps to mitigate the environmental impacts caused by eutrophication and fish farming, and improve the overall status of the marine ecosystems.
